The Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg is the world’s leading Schubert Festival. Featuring the music of Schubert and his contemporaries, the harmony of the occasion is further enhanced by the rural atmosphere of this picturesque village, providing an idyllic setting.
22th – 30th June and 24th August – 1 September 2019
Some 50 events feature on the programme: chamber concerts, lieder evenings, piano recitals, readings and master classes. Every year a plethora of leading musicians and ensembles is invited to perform in the Angelika Kauffmann Hall, with its extensive views over the surrounding meadows and mountains. A number of special Schubertiade buses serve the concerts in Schwarzenberg from various outlying towns and villages.
Stay in the Bregenzerwald and visit the Bregenz Festival. Since Schnepfau is only an hour’s drive from Bregenz, this arrangement works perfectly.
